You left a special gift for me today.
So small and unique
Not even tomorrow could it
Be the same
Dirty handprint on my wall
Is the gift you left me.
Even though I want to scream
I could not.
The handprint on the wall
Will be a reminder to me in the future
Mother day was fast approaching
The school had you to make your handprint
With paint and paper
Its almost like the one I gave my mom
So long ago
To you it just a small gift
But that, handprint now in a
Frame
Handprint on the wall
To remind me how small you once was.
Years will go by
And you, will get older and leave me behind.
While memory flood my heart
That Hand print on the wall
Will remain.
