Attention everyone! I would like to address the problem of Power-Ups (PUs) disappearing when users activate new ones. We are working on improving this issue, but there are several factors that need to be taken into consideration.
Many users tend to use multiple devices and tabs, which is causing the problem. When multiple PUs are activated or reset in quick succession on various devices or tabs, it creates issues.
To avoid this problem, please slow down when activating PUs and try to use only one device. I am not saying that you cannot use multiple devices, but when activating PUs, take your time!
Activate a PU and wait for 5-10 seconds or a little more between activations, giving the servers time to sync. Then activate the next one and take the same approach. I appreciate your fast fingers, but activating multiple PUs within seconds and using multiple devices during this process can cause problems.
Without getting too technical, the activation process occurs, but the system cache (not to be confused with your browser cache) needs time to catch up. It will usually catch up within 5 minutes. During that time, people often activate new PUs without realizing what's going on. Slowing down between activations will help, and we are working on our end to alleviate this issue. Many of you have been asking for more options for bling likes.
We added the dazzler
We added the bling like reset once a month.
We also added the Sticky Fingers which gives you a 2x bling like points
We also added bigger bling like bonuses.
We also added bigger like bonuses.
The side effect of this is that we would have to drop the overall like bonuses or it was way too powerful to keep all of the above things. Rather than drop bonuses, we opted to separate bling likes from the like bonuses so we could keep the like bonuses high for everyone as well as keep the bling like bonuses high for everyone. Unforunately we could let them all compound.
We are also adding a personal happy hour bonus.
I wanted to touch base on the fubar events. We appreciate all of you who participate. Over the last three years we have evolved many of these events and added new events. They started grass roots with a few members helping us organize to where we host the events now.
Some people get upset that we hold too many. Some people get upset becauuse we don't hold enough. Some people get upset because people run their families like a mafia boss. Others get upset because they can't get into these families. Some people are honestly just always upset about everything! The point is no matter what changes we make or whatever we do, we are not going to please everyone. We get that, but we will not allow you to publicly bash our site or create drama over the way we run events.
We are all adults here. You are free to participate and free to not participate. Yes there are some level up requirements that do make it so you have to participate in a few of them, but you do not have to participate if you do not want to. This is a game for your entertainment. You play because you want to play or you don't play because you don't want to.
What many people do not understand is by having many events, it allows for more people to win and rank versus the same 20 people always dominating. Yes that hurts some of these ultra comptitive people's feelings that they can't dominate every aspect of the game, but this is how the world works. We want everyone to have fun and have a shot.
If you have feedback, please send it to us directly. Do not write a "WTF fubar" blog, status or comments and then get upset when it is deleted. We will always shoot straight with you. You might not like the answers you are given but again you do not have to participate if you do not want to. Please do not create extra work for us because you are salty.
We appreciate and love all of you whether you play the game or not! Let's keep this place focused on having fun!
