Friendships are kind
Friendships are tough
Friendships are caring
Friendships are rough.
Friendships are hardest to cultivate
Friendships are easiest to maintain.
For friendships are created and found
While love is sought after and desired
Friendships are tough and sometimes very rough
While love is soft and fragile.
We tend to make friends easiest
We tend to lose lovers faster
But what we forget
Is lovers are friends also.
Its the inability to space love from friendship
that makes love hardest to hold.
But when we find true friendship
Nothing can crack its hull.
Its a ship stronger then any other
Its a vessel so large
That it shall never be filled
And noone will ever try.
For the greatest of all things a lover can give
is friendship to the one they love
A friendship of understanding and compassion
a Friendship of checks and balances
A friendship of meeting half way, and speaking when things are not right.
When we find this true friendship
We should not let it go
For in this friendship
Love can always take hold.
