The Cousins-
The ones you dont get to see enough as you get older. Your best friends thru growing up, might as well be sisters/brothers with some, others you take on as your own little sisters and brothers. I am lucky to be close to 11 of 13 cousins. But special one, Breanna, she was my flower girl when I was married at 20, she was 7. She loved hanging around where-ever I was. She followed me everywhere and I always adored her. She was such a beautiful girl.
She had these long blonde curls and was so quiet when others were around, but always had a special place in my heart. As my life went on, she grew up and had a baby of her own. Her daughter is now 3.
The call came last night. Somehow, whether she mis-read the directions, or just had a counter-reaction to the meds the doctor gave her last week, Breanna died last night. They caused her to have a heart attack. I am not sure how I am feeling right now. I havent seen her for about 3 years. Her image is so very real in my memory. I can remember her like I saw her yesterday. She was only 27 yrs old. I am not sure what is going to happen to her daughter either, she is only 3, but I am thinking my Aunt Judy is going to adopt her and raise her. That wouldnt be a bad thing. Aunt Judy and her 3 sisters Heather, Eva and MaryJane are more like my sisters then my Aunts. They were always there for me.
I am going to really miss you Breanna, that sparkle you always carried in your eyes and will forever be carried in my heart :(
