Always keep your mind pure.
The founders of thought,
Plato and Aristotle, taught,
an evil mind needs laws
to control it.
So set those dark devils free.
Let them see the light of day.
Confess them and they'll likely fly away.
You can't force yourself
to feel love, if you don't.
Feel angry, if you're irate,
but don't rage or violate.
Better to feel and forgive
than to fester or destroy.
After all, revenge is bad for the soul -
and bitter.
Know that obsession is an addiction,
so allow the pain you prefer to deny.
Focus on healing instead.
Your mind is a powerful tool.
Oil it regularly. Nourish your intellect
to keep you youthful. Make lists;
out of mind and onto paper,
leaves room for creative juices
to flow. It tidies up the clutter.
You're not an encyclopaedia.
Meditation helps the debris
to settle, so you can sort it,
clear out the chaos; it's refreshing.
Spring clean in there, once or twice a year,
Dust and hoover once a week, and tidy
up before you go to sleep.
Be grateful at the end of the day
and you will always keep
your mind pure.
