I dont know how many people outside of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs know about whats happened there, but Im getting sick of hearing about it.
A lil more than a month ago I think is when the story came out. Cemetery workers digging up the bodies of people and re-selling the plots of the dead. They only targeted the graves of people that no one had visited, and its been going on for at least 4yrs. Skull fragments and other bones were strewn all throughout the graveyard, their were "mass graves" of the bodies that couldnt be broken done fast enought. (One was 15ft high, and about 20ft in diameter) headstones from the dug up bodies were thrown in a back lot tapped off by "Do not enter" or "Employees only" tape. Emmit Tills orginial casket was found in a shed with possums living in it.
Well, what Im sick of seeing, is the same family that forgot about their dearly beloved for the past 4plus yrs are now the same ones down there EVERYDAY demanding to be allowed into the graveyard (a HUGE crime scene at the moment) to see if the loved ones they couldnt be bothered with, are some of the thousands of remains that have been found in ditches and whatnot.
Yeah, its a horrible thing that happened but my point is, if you couldnt be bothered in 4yrs to visit a grave, whats the rush now? Let the police and FBI do their job and gather up evidence without people trampling on it or getting in the way.
The same ones screaming for justice and demanding answers are the same ones who allowed this to happen. If they HAD visited those graves, those graves wouldnt have been targeted. Im sure the people guilty of doing this would have still done this, but they would have picked other graves...
There were actually people on the news saying "I havent been here in 7yrs, once we buried her, we went on with our lives"... Then why are you there bitching about it? YOU were the ones that discarded your loved ones and never gave them a second thought after the coffin had dirt on it. The whole situation is kinda like a cookie jar in a room full of 8yr olds, once no one is looking, the cookies are as good as gone.
Im just tired of hearing about this 9times a day everyday for the past month...
