We woke up this morning and Stretcher, the baby bunny, had died during the night. He was doing so well last night too, I had him on the living room floor and he was crawling around and eating really well. But, this morning, he was stiff as could be when I tried to get him out of his box to eat. The boys are having a rough time - and don't quite understand - however, I had told them repeatedly that he might die, so I think that helped a bit.
My oldest and I are having the worst time of it because we're so emotional...and my boys have never been able to have a pet before, so this death experience of something they've taken care of is so new to them - they just don't know how to handle it.
