One thing is that I am a recovering alcoholic/drug addict. Clean and sober since 1988. It’s not something I am ashamed of. I just happened to be one of those people who became addicted. I thank God that I am one of those who is recovering. I have been able to live a life that I wouldn’t have even dreamed of while I was using. Since becoming sober, I have played in rock bands, traveled all over the country and parts of Europe, raced my 911 on road courses across the Midwest, made a lot of real friends, loved people like I never thought was possible, road motorcycles to some of the most beautiful places, and most importantly learned how to love myself and be happy with life on life’s terms.

I recently made a quality of life change. I spent most of my working career in large corporations. I was a typical corporate malcontent. I grew frustrated with the corporate politics and inefficiencies. I was born and raised in Chicagoland. I sold my home up north and moved to the Smoky Mountains. I bought a home, a couple of mountains, and a small optics manufacturing company. I am now enjoying the advantages of country living and owning my own company. I love it here.

My friends would probably say that I am very funny. Next they would say that I am extremely handsome. OK! Maybe I exaggerated. They would probably say that I am just very good looking. I try to be the best friend that I can be. I enjoy doing things spontaneously. I like meeting new people. I feel that my friends are the most valuable thing in my life.
