I know that given a six-pack and a video game, most Americans do not care what is going on in the world around them. As such, I expect to read idiotic comments. Below is part of an email which I sent to a friend regarding the Senate's passage of the bail out bill. Is it time to find a new country?
The left arrogantly thinks it knows better than we do and will burden "we the people" with more government control until we are taxed to death. The problem runs deep. Our citizens believe that it is alright to have your hands out and expect the government to solve all of our problems. The politicians make promises which cannot be kept and then get elected. From poles, the American Citizens oppose the bill by at least 3 to 1. What happened to the government which represents "We the people"? It is over. Capitalism and the market economy have failed. The government is in control. Democracy has failed. The politics no longer represent the people. A small group of powerful individuals are making the decisions. |
