As I sit here with my dog at my side, trying to reflect back on my life and collect all the attributes that make me... well me, one thought has crossed my mind. Anybody who is trying to sell themselves, and that's what we are all trying to do here, has the propensity to come across arrogant. I do not want to do that. Let me start by saying I am not perfect. However, I do strive to be an honestly good person. When it comes to a relationship, I make it a point to listen. By listening, I am not only referring what you say to me directly, but, just as importantly, what you say in jest, what you say that you like as we pass a store window, as we watch a TV commercial, as we drive down the road. Also, what you say that you dislike., what you feel at any given moment and what you feel about how your world is treating you. I have learned over the course of my life that being any other way is just selfish and lazy. I have learned from mistakes... mistakes that I will never make again. I have learned from successes that have provided me and others with emotional trophies that I place on an imaginary mantle.

I am a romantic, maybe to a fault, maybe not. Affection, touch, the stare I can't stop as the one I love passes my view, the sound of their voice in the morning and right before I sleep. I have learned the extravagant and big moments in life are great but I usually find that the feeling of awe they create can be obtained in many ways. The one feeling that cannot be mimicked is the feeling I get when I sit on the couch and the one I love is sitting there beside me. It is a feeling of comfort, security and warmth that cannot be obtained in any other way. It is the greatest feeling I will ever feel. I am a sensual, methodical person from my emotions to my intimacy.

I want my princess, someone I can take care of and pamper. It's how I am built... what I do. I am not talking about monetary means but emotional and indulgent pampering. I want someone to protect and stand behind.

As for other characteristics, I love to cook... not cook fast food, but chef quality multi-course meals. I love a great dinner party, a great bottle of chardonnay, merlot or a glass of scotch. I am an extremely handy guy also. Fixing a computer, repairing most household items, decorating a room, replacing the brakes on your car to making jewelry and so on.

I have a sharp wit and a quick sense of humor but I will let you see that when we speak ( can't show my hand too early )

As for you, all I ask is that you are sweet, honest, loyal, loving and willing to commit to a relationship when the time is right. Please try to be down to earth and level headed and I will be that for you. I want to get to learn who you are from here.

There is a lot more to me and hopefully you are the person that wants to see it, embrace it and make it all the better.
