What A Day!

Hi all, I am so sorry that I haven't been blogging here lately. Been really busy trying to get kids ready for school and all that. Today was the kids first day of school, they were supposed to go yesterday, but our creek overflowed and flooded out the area near Kyle's school, so all the buses couldn't get over there, so they cancelled school. They will have to make up the day that they missed at the end of the year, but oh well they got an extra day to play! We finally got our paychecks today, we got paid yesterday but I couldn't borrow my mom's car yesterday. A really good friend of hers, her daughter was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer...... and she was going in for surgery Monday morning, and my mom stated to her friend, that if she needed her, she would be there with her. So needless to say today was a busy day. Darryl had to drive home with the paychecks, I drove to the bank to get cash for him, and for me to pay for groceries and the rest of the school supplies that we needed. Got all that stuff tonight, except for the cold groceries, but I will get those tomorrow. Was too tired tonight, also got to pay some bills tomorrow........... Another long day. I will catch up on my blogging another day. I am tired and have to unpack all the groceries and possibly take a shower, then go to bed................ So I hope you all have a great night, take care, and Hugs ~ Jilly :)

school's almost out!

I just wanted to write a little about what is going on with my kids and school and all. Andrew, oldest son, is going into the 4th grade next year, man i can't believe how big he has grown. Kyle, my baby, is going to be going to a regular Pre-K class. It is still only the 2 1/2 hours per day, but it's mon-fri! He will be taking speech classes during the summer and also next yr. His special-ed teacher will keep an eye on his progress in the new class, and if there are any changes, if he starts to lag, or not progress like he is supposed to then she is going to pull him out. She really thinks he is ready for the regular class now and if that is the case then he will not need special classes later on. We hope anyways! I mean in just a few months, he is able to say the pledge of allegiance, name his colors, animals, the sounds they make, shapes, letters, and is wearing underwear to class. She and I can't believe how much he has learned and progressed. Andrew went back to school on Thursday, after being sick with Strep Throat since probably sun or mon of last week. He is still taking his meds and is doing better each and every day. I can't believe that they only have school til Thursday of this week, then out!!!!! This year seems to have flown by! Kyle needs about 3 more shots and he is all caught up with his shots, and is ready to go to school next yr. I already have both pre-enrolled so all i have to do is show up with birth certificate, shot records and whatever else is needed at the school. I guess that is it for tonight, really tired and I have to be up early with the kids. Before i know it they will both be out. Oh i forgot to mention that Kyle will be doing speech class this summer, but he will also be working with me on a packet that the teacher is going to send home, so he doesn't forget or lag behind on anything. Have a great week all! Hugs, and Love to all :)
