Hi all. Well today has been an ok day. The washer guys came out to check out our washer as it was making funny noises in the rinse cycle. It turns out that the washer's tub would hit the side of the washer if the load was out of balance. Not anything wrong with the transmission, or anything else, so that's good. Just got off the phone with Darryl. He was supposed to pick up his load at like 5pm today at Hobby Lobby, but he just called to tell me that he is still at Hobby Lobby waiting on his load. He is supposed to be in Des Moines, Iowa at 7am! I don't think that will happen considering it is a 10 hour drive up there!! Hobby Lobby has been getting worse about their loads here lately! On sunday's he is supposed to pick up his load at noon time or so, but usually it isn't ready til 3pm or after. It is getting really old every week it seems to be getting worse with the loads, and even the miles are coming down. He told them that he wanted some extra miles this week, since we took off those 3 or 4 days to see Jenny's ordination ceremony. It seems NO MATTER what we do we ALWAYS GET PUNISHED for it!!!! I am getting sick of it, and so is Darryl. They EXPECT him to make the load on time, yet he has a little grace or NONE at all!!!! Hello how can someone drive all night, all day and then some with no Freaking sleep, not stopping to fuel up, eat, do log sheets, or anything else? I don't think that they can! Good Grief people use some common sense! There was other people waiting on their loads as well, even one guy who had a team driver, just to make the load on time. They quit paying their drivers layover fees.......... I am sorry but that is something that ALL companies MUST do! It is something that happens occasionally when you get shut down for the night waiting on a load. Well I guess this company is TOO GOOD to pay their drivers what they are SUPPOSED TO!!!! I think I am done ranting about this for now, maybe not................. I will write more later on tonight. Tomorrow I am going to my mom's house to help her weed her garden and swim and such, Andrew has a friend's b-day party tomorrow so he will be going to that. Hi there all, my day has been an interesting one. I got a call from my sister stating that we wouldn't all fit in the vehicle that I had reserved. So we had to come up with a new plan to get to St. Louis! So we ended up talking about every other 15-20 minutes on the phone, til we came up with the idea of renting two cars with better gas mileage. So I called Avis to see if I could reserve the two vehicles, so I call my sister back, and she tells me to reserve them, then we can always take them off. So I call Avis back, and to reserve the vehicles, I have to have a major credit card, or if I don't have that, then with a debit card, it will be a $300 fee for both cars! I was like WHAT? I don't have $600 for both cars! So we both tried to call my mom, and she wasn't there, so we waited til she got home, then she called my sister. The options were these: 1) My mom rents the car with her credit card, but we have to pay $10 per day, per driver. 2) She loans us the $600 to pay for the rentals, then we take that money out of the bank to cover the cars. We get the $600 back, two to three business days after we return the car. 3) We take the 7 passenger SUV and have two people stay behind........ So went with the 2ND one considering we get the 300 back, So my sister is going to get the check, deposit it into her bank, and then give me the 300 for me to rent it with my debit card. Then when we get the money back we take part of that money to cover for the cars. Needless to say today was an interesting day. I got both boys packed, and most of the bathroom stuff that we need, and all the snacks, drinks etc.......... the only things left to pack is our clothes, and sandwiches and such. Most likely we will go by Avis on Thursday if we can and do all the paperwork then, so Friday morning we can just head out, considering it's a 8 hour drive up there and back, not counting stops for gas, and potty breaks. Since we are taking snacks and such we won't need to stop and eat, which gets expensive. I am getting excited about going, but I also know that it's a long drive, and the kids get bored easily. So I am hoping that we can pick up a few games that they can take on the road, plus we are bringing the dvd player so they can watch movies. So hopefully that will help. Well I am going to finish my dinner, which is sandwiches and chips....... get the kids ready for bed, and finish some laundry, then get to bed myself. Hey all. This weekend was a long one for me, with barely any food and no money what so ever it was a tough one. Took hubby to his job in the city, on Super Bowl Sunday of all days! So had to take him and come back, that is an hour one way usually depending on traffic. So Monday morning wake up take kids to school, and head out to the city yet again to pick up paychecks....... ugh another long day of running. Get there and the company has hired quite a few people to do payroll, so i get the check and of course they put 3 weeks worth of miles on one paycheck, leaving only a week for the 2nd paycheck, which sucks! So i go to the bank, deposit paychecks and pull some money out to get food and stuff. Run to the grocery store get everything we need, run by the gas station to get cigs and gas, go home unload car. My oldest son gets home and we run to walmart and back home to eat and get kids in bed. Get up this morning at 6:30 am again and send kids off to school, now i got to run back to the city to give hubby money, food, and cigarettes. Drive back in time for youngest son getting off the bus at 10:35 or so, then run to my mom's to hang out for the day....... So i can say this tomorrow i am not going anywhere if i can help it.....
