I got to spend last saturday with my parents whitch doesnt happen much.We went down the the casino in Frech Lick to see Jerry Lee Lewis.The show rocked.If you ever get the chance to see him DO IT.We had front row seats and it was just so kick ass. Me and my Dad drove home that night while my mom stayed.On the way home,my dad told me the entire history of our family.I was hung one his every word.I have always wondered about how my family came to be where they are.One thing he told me was that during the depression,my family lost there house and moved to Shoals Indiana and lived in the caves along the river.Along time ago I saw photos of ppl in Indiana liveing in the caves during the depression.So i thought that maybe i could get online and find the photos.Well i cant find them but i did find this photo This is my grandfather on my dads side.He is bured in one of the oldest cemataries in Indiana.I called my mom to make sure it was him and it is.I never knew where he was buried I never botherd to ask.I know my grandmother is bured out by my parents hosue.Ive never really asked my dad about his parents cuz they werent the greatest ppl.they would run off and just leave my dad and not care if he lived or died.One time he told me they took him to the fair and just left him there.he found out later that they went to FL.They were drunks,thats how my grandmother dide,she drank herslef to death.When she died,my grandfather walked out into the ocean and didnt walk back out.Counting my Dad they had 9 kids and would just leave them,but left my dad the most cuz he was the youngest.My dad told me once that he was glad i never met them.With all my dad has been thru it is so amazing he turned out to be the man he is.Out of all his brothers and sisters hes the only one worth a shit.He is the one they all run to for money.He is my hero.everyday he gets up at 4 am and goes to work.He changed the date on his birthciricifet to say he was 18 when he was 17 so he could go to work digging ditches.Now he owns his own company. So i guess you really can find anything on the internet.Im still going to keep looking for the photos of the caves.Maybe one of the them might be of my family.
