NEW YORK -
Yahoo Inc. unveiled onePlace, a mobile content management tool Tuesday that the search engine operator said is meant to help consumers keep their mobile information organized, up-to-date and personalized.
OnePlace, is based on using bookmarks to link to online content. OnePlace users will be able to make collections of links around various topics, and the tool can automatically update content such as game scores and stock prices, Yahoo (nasdaq: YHOO - news - people ) said.
OnePlace also includes a mobile RSS reader, which enables users to read and subscribe to blog feeds.
The tool is expected to launch along with the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company's upcoming mobile phone service oneConnect, in the second quarter.
OneConnect integrates e-mail, instant messaging and social networks.
Yahoo said that once launched, it anticipates onePlace will be available for hundreds of devices and browsers.
Yahoo shares fell 9 cents to $27.68 in premarket trading.
