What We Had

I gave you everything I had to give
Is my life over or can I live
With these built up emotions and shattered dreams
Telling myself, your not that obscene
You walked away like you had nothing to lose
At that moment I was depressed and confused
Your strong and your beautiful, you’ll make it in time
Only to realize, wake up and find
That the man of your dreams that you had in your grasp
Was the man that you had left in your past
You’ll soon start to wonder and ask yourself why
When the man that your with wipes the tear from your eye
He’ll never know the truth about why that tear fell
You’ll be sad and depressed and let your mind dwell
You’ll think of me often about how I was true
And how I should’ve been the one for you
Its to late now you my dreams have been shattered
One lucky girl will help me put them back together
