Technical, not so CTSpecific. (Changing the name of this blog in a mom't.)
I would like to go into the options or preferences section, and be able to tell my browser (so to speak, never mind turns of phrase)
if this page, embeddings, images, &c included is taking more than ( ) to load, stop and display what you have.
if any individual .jpg/.gif/.png (say) is taking more than ( ) to load, stop and go on to the next (up to the overall limit specified above!)
if any... and so on. I do not want a page to hang my browser, making the stop button ineffective and threatening to crash the browser or system altogether, ... until it decides it's found the background image it's looking for and can come up for air, tyvm, or until I force-stop my browser and lose everything I wasn't wise enough to remember to save because I decided to go exploring the web.
Never mind. Not the day. But what sort of minds design these... never mind, I've done some minor programming, I know the answer to that...
