As the rain is pouring the wind is on display
The darkened clouds and sky exist in everyway
It's when the evil roams day and night
There is no sign of sunlight
The ground is wet and cold outside
Where nature and the living and dead often reside
Snow should be on the horizon, where is this mess?
Ice is forming as the temps decline, statistics even confess
The moon is out and roams in the sky
Where many people often look for questions and answers of why?
Is it crying, whinning or just wonder of the state of mind
Dig deep enough be suprised of what there is to find
The end of the day is only a few minutes away
What happened?, what was good and bad? just many shades of gray
Days and weeks seem longer, the appetite of destruction is stronger
Can the mind and self control hold on much longer?
The winter season, its that time of year
Scary things happen in many ways causing soo many to fear
Shall we give a toast to the living and a toast of who has past
For ones who are weak be stronger, ones who are dying live longer and may ones who suffer may that moment be its last
Hold the one's we love so tight
Tell them how you feel and express it with all your might
