Or actually things that don't matter.
I got real drunk lastnight. It seemed like the thing to do at the time kinda.
Things that people seem to care about but aren't really a big deal to me.
1- Matching your sox. What difference does it make if they match anyway? How much attention do people pay to your feet, and if you have sox with a grey toe, and sox without a grey toe, and you wear one of each, most of the time, it will have little or no impact on your life. Yet people spend time making sure their sox match.
2- Silverware. Seperating it when you put it away. Why? Why take the time to do that? it's not like it's hard to find a fork, or whatever you are looking for when you open the droor. Or atleast it's not hard for me.
3- exact spelling and grammer. They are for sheep anyway. They only matter cuz their are condascending pieces of shit who will judge you because you don't follow the rules some guy made up a long time ago. ( So it's kinda like religion. lol )
4- Numbers, ratings, votes, stuff like that. How important is that number people have by their pictures? or the number of votes people have? Yah, it's the little things that make people happy sometimes. But hopefully you don't hold the value of these things so high that if the numbers are low, you get way upset. ( Sometimes when it seems like life sux, and there's nothing else going on, these #'s have had an odd amount of importance to me. Now, I'm not sure what the fuck was wrong with me, or what I really saw in them. Or why they mattered. But hey, numbers are cool, high numbers are cool I guesse. Maybe it's a weird way meeting the need to feel loved or something. )
There's probably many other little things that can be mentioned that people put so much thought into that don't really matter. I have to go do math though, and can't sit around all day talking about unimportant shit. lol.
The key thing to remember is- There are a few things that are worth getting upset over, and it may take getting upset to do something about them. However, the more you can do to limit these things to those that are important, and even better, the things you can actually do something about, the happier you will be in life.
There's a book called " Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ( and it's all small stuff ) " Or something like that. I'm not sure if it's the exact tittle. I haven't read the book either. lol But the tittle, ( yah, I know I spelled it wrong, but I like how my word sounds better ) makes a lot of sense to me.
Now, are you ready for the religious sort of thing for today??
Forgiveness is one of the keys to happiness. Hating people usually makes you more unhappy than the person you hate. ( Often times they don't really give a fuck. ) So this kind of alludes to the whole jesuss, and going to heaven thing. If heaven is happiness, it seems as though it can only be reached through forgiveness. And jesus seems to be a symbol of that forgiveness. So, you can't really get into heaven without jesus. ( you can't really be happy if you can't forgive people )
Hopefully that makes sense to people. I'm obviously not trying to prosylatize, or trying to convert people here. I'm not saying there is a god, and he will condemn you. I'm not saying that you won't be happy unless you accepte jesus into your heart. And I'm not saying you are going to go to hell if you don't follow jesus. People often put themselve into their own hell, right here on earth though by placing so much value in things that bring them down, and obsess about them. And by not forgivving people, or not being able to forgive people. They keep all that hate inside of them. It's just really not healthy all together. Apathy, the key to happiness... lol.
