Some go willingly some are forced from here,
but all leave family members that they hold dear.
War is a hard place to be each and everyday,
missing their loved ones and the words they say.
Longing to just make it to a phone to call home,
just wanting to feel a loving touch, so they are not alone.
Bombs blasting in the back ground,
soilder sheds a few tears for family when no one is around.
Newlyweds seperated so fresh in their combind life,
hoping 15 months apart does not cause strife.
Mothers having babies all alone worried about the daddy,
hoping he makes it back home for them to be happy.
The time will come soon when all will return home,
but still some of the left behind will still be alone.
Because their loved ones were taken in a cruel way,
they have nothing but memories to cherish each day.
The things that these soilders do for you and me,
is enough to break the stongest man down to his knees.
They need to be rememberd each day in our lifes,
and not just by their husbands and wifes.
They wake each day to the same ole test,
trying to save the innocent and eliminate the rest.
What horrible things they must see,
soon it will be over, this is not the way we are too be.
So america hold your head proud,
scream out I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS loud,
the president is just one meer man,
the troops are the heros defending our land.
