The Redeemed
Considering the fact that I am indeed a sinful man, unable to change my nature at all; the only recourse I have to avoid the penalty that I rightfully deserve is made possible for me by the One who made me. Considering the Holy Scripture as being the source of all truth, I’ve chosen to call the One who made me God Almighty.
Considering the Word of truth as being Holy and Righteous, I’ve chosen to follow the guidance of the Word and surrender my mind, my body and my soul to God as my rightful service. Accepting the gift of Salvation offered to me by God through belief in His Son Jesus Christ. My Lord.
My current condition is as one who has been redeemed from the penalty that I rightfully deserve. Having made this choice freely and without any reservation, I’ve accepted the conditions that come along with it. My flesh cannot and will not honor my decision, consequently; a battle takes place each time I awake from my rest. And my flesh has been consistently losing.
As a sinful man, I never gave any real consideration to the things that were Holy and Righteous. My flesh was from this world, and sought satisfaction based on things that were offered in this world. So I considered pleasures in this world as the high priority for me. All of that changed for me as the Holy Spirit convicted my mind to see only those things that were Holy, Righteous and True.
The difference in perception is just like night and day, or light and darkness. The entire scope of my sinful nature only included the things of the world. The scope of my perception as a result of the conviction of the Holy Spirit is not limiting what so ever. So the adjustment is quite substantial. As the Redeemed, I feel the growth of my spirit everyday, and the death of my flesh everyday.
Being redeemed is more than a choice to me; it is an awakening that cannot occur by considering anything else in this world. On the contrary, the adversary in this world is completely opposed to this happening anywhere. So, like my Savior, there are conditions in this world that I must accept and be aware of. I will not be well received by many who are seriously considering this world as important. And I could suffer more or less the same fate as my Savior did in this world.
But the Word tells me that my reward will not come from this world, so I have a blessed assurance that even though I do suffer here in this world, my joy will come in the dawning of a new world. So it is fitting that I experience such comfort in the dying of my flesh that I feel; because the vision and the comfort in my spirit that is growing in me leads me to the departure from flesh with great joy and excitement. Nothing like the ‘fun’ reference used here in the world.
Mankind has been greatly brainwashed by the world, the adversary has done an amazing job of holding us in bondage while freedom lies just a choice away. I am one who boldly claims the gift and the life, the true and real one. His name is above all names; it’s Jesus the Christ. If you are having a problem with your coming death, consider Him, and He will consider you.
