i sit here alone watching the waves crash my toes in the sand the sun burning brightly in the sky the air crisp and clean the sky a radiant shade of blue i remember a time when this place was different for me now i sit here and relive my memories it brings a smile to my face watching the waves crash and time flys by the sun makes it way to the top of the sky as i sit and remember the times it warms my heart each wave crashes on the land each time different making a different noise and retreating into the sea again taking a part of the land with it like each memory i relive it takes a part of me with it as it goes out to the sea someday when i come to this place again i can relive what was once radiant but now i just sit alone with my thoughts of life and how it changes but something tugs at me as i walk out to the water and stick my toe in and remember what was once said to me and i smile look out into the blue sea and whisper words that travel across the world i walk away from the water and sit back in the sand again and watch the day roll into night still thinking of my memories of what has past but now i must leave and let the memories be someday i will return to this special place and remind myself of a time when happiness was just an ocean away i watch one more wave crash and feel the sand inbetween my toes one last time as i make my way towards home i look back over my shoulder and smile as the sun disappears in the distance
