I woke up this morning feeling something awful...glands swollen, achy feeling, loss of appetite, etc., but I knew that I had to go to the client today because yesterday's appointment got all messed up and miscommunicated.
I rolled reluctantly out of bed and head to the bathroom to shower quickly and freshen up. Clothes and shoes on, and my immunization record at hand (for one of my errands today), keys, sunglasses and heading out of the door quickly. I needed to get something solid in me so I stopped for a melt -- take away the bread and just ate the meat and a BK Mocha Joe (Iced Coffee).
Get at the clients' home and she isn't feeling too good so we didn't go anywhere but she had me prepare her some meals for the weekend and help her in/out of the tub, and some minor housekeeping chores. Got away from there sooner than expected but found myself hurrying up and having to wait through traffic that had been narrowed down to one lane.
Ughghghghgh....
then the clinic was closed (after stop and go traffic for 45 minutes) where I needed to get the last of a 3 series of a shot required of all health care workers. Lovely!
Went to my daughters and got a list and some coupons for some items that she needed at the grocery store for the little one. Did that and returned with a few extra items which had my daughter beaming. It was nice to see the surprise on her face.
Went back to the clinic. Back open, but without any nurses.
Ughghghghgh....
They gave me a schedule of possible opportunities to return and get the shot and enlightened me that it won't matter that I don't get it this week or next. The guidelines I was told previously was just the dates that I couldn't do before for the next shot. Good to know!
I was still aching from my back (from the wrong way to sleep on a futon last Saturday) and just plain stress and went to a place called Massage Heights. They had an introductory special for $39 so I thought this would be a perfect challenge for them.
Wow! I came out of there feeling sooooo much better than I have in a very long time. My spine was straighter than it had ever been in my lifetime (I think) and the knots were gone. I could walk straight without pain. I was soooo amazed. They told me to sit with a straight posture tonight and sleep with my spine straight tonight to ensure continued relief. I don't think I have a single chair in the house sitting straight up, but with pillows, I will figure out something.
Of course, tomorrow is another night on the futon at the client's home. I am dreading it, but the gal made some suggestions to try, so I will take her advice indeed -- especially after making my back feeling oh so much better!
I got home and saw a notice on the door as I drove by and then turned around to go to the management office and sure enough a package has arrived. It is the Christmas gift that I got for myself on eBay. For less than $200, I got a 12mp 4x optical SLR digital camera (and tripod stand and a macro lens to boot). I am sooooo excited. I have already read the instructions and I am waiting for the battery to charge up.
My fingers are opening and closing pointing to the charger as I am stating *charge, charge, charge!* .... LOL... Just as a watched pot never boils, I have come to my computer to write a blog and bide some time away as I am waiting on the charging of the battery so that I can so how well it really works. :)
So, although, the day started out horribly, it has ended up on a good note -- my back is straight and pain free, and I have my Christmas gift today.
There are few things that I can think that would top that off....
