So I went to visit a friend in Tampa Saturday after i got off wrk, i got there Sunday morning.
We were having fun kidding around and such, and then i was tired after driving all night and we were getting ready to make dinner for her ex, her 4 kids my 2 kids and myself when CRASH!!! we heard some glass break in the room that the kids were playing in. then it got reallly quiet...
turns out my son was running in the house, and put his hands out to stop himself and ended up going THROUGH a glass window, if that wasnt bad enough, he pulled his arms back through, and one of the pieces of glass dug in. so i see it and scream like a little girl, while her ex put a wet clean sock on it. Now let me tell you, this is RIGHT where the writst is actually the wrist not the arm, not the hand, so its right over his main artery, if he had been trying to kill himself he couldnt have done it better.
so im holding pressure on hin arm, we run out of the house, no bra, just a slip of a dress, and Teasha in her jammies, run out to the van, cause it's blocking my car. we cant decided if we should go to the fire departement so they can put him in an ambulance, and look at it while they are getting him to the ER or if we should just go to the ER. so we ended up going to the ER, and we were doing about 80 the whole way.
now my son is deathly scared of needles, and freaked at the idea of stitches, i tried telling him how chicks dig scars, but that didnt seem to help. finally they just sneak in and sedate him with a shot to the hip. he's out and trying to talk in about 45 seconds.
so they get in there flip the skin back out and over, cause when he pulled his arm back out the window it not only dug in deeper, but it made the skin into a flap and made it flip under itself.
12 stitches, dermabond, and about 5 MILLION grey hairs later... all he says it that its hard to move and it itches... WHEW!!
