*Damned Unpretty*
Not gonna lie- been overwieght all my life. Due to whatever genetics I have in me, no matter what I do, I'm always gonna be a big girl.
Yet I think more of my reasoning for never attempting SERIOUSLY to lose the weight was a rebellion agaist the status quo. I didn't want to be a carbon copy of every pin-up in a magazine- I wanted to be me. And if people could not accept who and what I am- so be it. Those were the superficial fools I cared not to know anyway.
What bugs me are the stereotypes: all big girls are lazy, stupid, and care for nothing more than stuffing their faces. It's always the big girls in the media who are chasing after this poor guy like an overgrown poodle as he winces and tries to be nice to her- the one so desperate she'll do anybody, anywhere, anytime.
I am F.A.T.- Fabulous And Thick and I have NEVER been desperate, nor do I bemoan my outcast state. Nay, my sweetlings, I revel in it! I revel in getting out on the dance floor and outdancing the skinny bitches and their thong-thong-thong-thongs. I enjoy the shocked expression when I do my kata, when I open my throat to the sky and sing the rain.
I know that I am beautiful, I know I am intelligent, I know that I am somebody despite how of others ridicule me. I am one who has sung the rain, rode the lightning, and channeled the very storm through their veins....
