Searching Why do we search? To find salvation Through miracles? To find union Through communion Of souls? Or the body and blood? Do we need the magic, The promise of Heaven In the ever after To believe in we, Of two? Why not life now? Can we live the Dream today? Following ethically An example Of sacrifice for others Without promises of That which requires faith In something not experienced Love without commitment? What is original sin? The desire of Eve to Know knowledge? Or Pandora who’s curiosity Is just another name for Knowing? Why have women Been the purveyor of Mankind’s ills? Because men wrote history? Cannot we believe In the sanctity Of relationships? In the joy of communion, In the experience of love Without domination of one mate By another, but shared By simply enjoying the experience Of we, of two Melting into one. poet
