SO... Day 3 of The Aftermath is nearly done...

I'm still feeling pleased with myself! Although that's wearing off now... Almost everyone (probably 4 of you) reading this knows that Tuesday, I was the in the Fubar Spotlight. I admit, it took a couple of weeks and some nice people whorin-I mean, helping me, but I had accumulated enough to get it at least three times, but if I bid on it at 11 PM my time and then went to bed, invariably one or more people outbid me by 3 hours later. So I finally decided enough was enough and Monday night, I set my alarm for 1:50 AM Tuesday morning and went to bed.

When my alarm went off, I rolled out of bed, woke up my 'puter and clicked on the BID link for the Spotlight. Bleary-eYed as I was, I had a lil trouble reading the numbers, but they finally made sense - Latest bid: 28100250, and Minimum Bid - 28100500. I waited until my 'puter clock said 1:58 then clicked that "Bid" link. The page reset, incrementing each number ny 250. I refreshed, refreshed again and nothing was different. I did it a third time and the numbers changed - and I was confused at first. Last bid was 0 and minimum bid was 500. What happened? I wondered? Then I hear, "You have fubar mail!" I looked at the Bar Tab and saw message from the Fubar Shop - it hit me! I did it! I had made the winning bid on the Spotlight! And the fun had begun!

I had barely uploaded a screen shot of my Spotlight when the choir began to sing! It never stopped! All day long, when I'd check on my page, I'd hear that Gregorian-sounding chant -  You know, the one that perhaps mostly the newer ones of us still hear when when get a photo rated. I kept thinking I should be kneeling and praying! I WAS raised a Roman Catholic! Many of my friends told me they forgot about that sound effect because they turned off those notifications in their bartab. I was rather diggin' all the noises so I didn't fiddle with it.

I got an Auto11 as a gift, then the donor told me to turn it on. I was so excited - and my Bar Tab was scrolling so fast - I missed receiving it! She told me again, and I said "Turn WHAT on?" DOH!

I am in an auction, in case the Spotlight bid went too high, and another friend reminded me - or rather, chastised me - that I should post a note in my status RIGHT THEN. Well, duh... Then she ensured I will NOT get many, if any, more bids - though I must admit, I feel special! :)

I told several of my friends my thrill ride through fame was "Nutsy", "Crazy" and a couple other epithets not easily recalled right now.. After a while when asked how I'm doing, I'd simply respond "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" It was a lot like getting pimped out over and over and over and... I got about 120 new friend requests, almost 90 cherry bombs and over 4 million points!

I wanted to thank everyone who bombed, rated added, fanned and otherwise loved on me - The cherry bombs were easy, cus the Fubar Shop notified me. But how the HELL was I going to figure out the people who rated and ran? Or nailed my folders? A pointwhore yogi watching all this with me told me to just ride it out. Worry about it tomorrow - IE Wednesday. And another said (and I feel dumb for not figuring this one out myself) to look through several photos in an album and thank the ones that appeared consistently as viewers.

New friends is another thing... I have NO FREAKIN' CLUE who's new, and I'm not going go to tons of touble, just to find out! I looked at my friends list, and DAYUM! Nearly 400! I really have NO IDEA how many new Fufriends I gathered from that! I think I'll just rate EVERYONE'S page! :) 

Yesterday I thanked several raters... and noted who to rate later. I'm not good at that - I get bored easily and go pouncing off into a MuMM or a blog... stalking friends here and there... shouting this person and that... I really have a short attention span! If you rated me and I didn't return the love, I'm SO sorry! Comment me or PM me and I'll get you as soo as I can!

An aside to all this - I set off a cherry bomb today. I LOVE those! I could EASILY get addcted! :D The aftermath was - like, 1/10 the spotlight effect!It reminded me of that! I'm smiling as I write this!

Then there are the generous people who helped me - The two who helped me the MOST would have to be Reeka (Lubbers you, sweety-keety!) (h) and Wicked. I kinda latched onto her and Witchy together, cuz they're just sweet and cool! DaisyBlue helped me quite a bit. Monica the Great (big ego) helped me a good bit too - especially teaching me some of the things about being a great point whore! And you all gave me support, as well! :)

I really do want to recognize people who contributed to my fund as well. This list is probably not going to be complete, but I will update and recognize you as I realize my grave oversight! :) For now, I am going to bed. I wanted to post this before I died for the night.
