I saw you there
Clad within your crystal tower
Lain to rest
For the sins of your parents
I saw you there
And longed to hold you in my arms
To bath you in passionate kisses
And to tell you that I’m in love with you
But my horse shall not take me
Upon your bedside this night
For her sights
Are set upon the cross
Which leads to healing
I found you there
Dressed in that gown
So soft and fitting
Flowing gently upon the wind
And I wanted to be the one
You came to
When times were rough
Or when you just needed a friend
I found you there
But never told you
That I care
I could never say I love you
Thought you’d run away
And now . . .
Now I’m too late
Rain falls
The moonlit sky begins to call
Can I say goodbye
To one I have just found
To one I have fallen in love with
Can I turn away
Thunder sounds
As my heart begins to slow
Can I close my eyes
Without seeing your face
Can I close my eyes
Knowing it is not because your lips
Are against my own
It seems I found you
My sleeping beauty
It seems I hath known you
And now must say goodbye . . .
I see you there still
Upon that horse
Riding like the wind
I still hear your voice
No orchestra could sound sweeter
But mi amore . . .
Rain falls
As his coffin is put to rest
Cancer calls
Who’ll be my next guest
