Some of you know the sob story from the weekend. Saturday afternoon, I was sitting outside talking with my mom about household projects we're planning. We went in the house for maybe 10 minutes and I went back out - to find it POURING. Not just raining - it was a full-blown gully-washer! My cell phone was on the table outside, sitting in a small puddle of water.
I grabbed it, took it inside, shook as much water out of it as I could, and used a hair dryer on it - all to no avail. It would NOT restart. I left it overnight, no battery, and tried the next day. It was dead. It wouldn't even power up.
Monday I went to the insurance claim site and filed for a replacement and paid my $50 deductible. Tuesday I found an e-mail saying they could not fulfill my claim and to call. So I did, and the rep said that they were out of the Audiovox XV6700. They would like to send me a Palm Pre Plus. Or a Palm Pixi Plus. Or something. It's a touch screen phone. So I googled the pair and decided she meant the Pre Plus. I said yes.
It came today! It IS a Pre Plus! Touch screen, 16GB onboard RAM, no need for a stylus, bluetooth, WiFi, 3G broadband capable - it's pretty sweet! =D
