oppressing women- and the still justified sex-discrimination enforced in american society. — Tuesday, November 14, 2006
People use some of the same logic today to oppress women as they did before they had any rights. " They think and make decisions with their emotions rather than with logic and rational reasoning." That's one reason people don't like them in the military, as bosses, in the infrantry, or in other combat fields.
What about men though? It seems like gangs, and violence often errupts from men because of their emotions rather than logical thought. Often times men let their anger and machismo drive them more than logical and rational thought. Are men really some type of robots, or logical creatures that don't let their emotions interfere with their judgment?
Religion and other biases seem to stem from emotional based thinking. ( that probably sounds worse than intended ) Men ( as often women too I realize, but I'm talking about men here. Just as women also share many other traits too. ) are often homophobic. What kind of rational logical reasoning goes into that? They don't like men who don't like women the way they do? As far as percentages go, I've liked more of the gay people I've met than straight people. Also, I really don't have a problem with guys not likeing women like that. Less compitition is good for me. I don't have to worry about my gay friends likeing the same girl I do. Men killing other people because they don't follow their same religion. They are upset because other people aren't respecting their god? I just really don't see how that has any logical reasoning either.
Oh, that made me remember my lost thought. Freedom of religion in America " You are free to believe in what ever you want. You just have to live by, and follow the rules of the majoratie's religion. "
So anyway, please share your thoughts on the whole women shouldn't be able to do certain things because they think with their emotions instead of rational thing.
