According one group, if you live in Pensacola you might want to rethink the next time you reach for the faucet to satisfy your thirst. The Environment Working Group, a research and advocacy group, released their findings from a three-year study that tested municipal water supplies across the U.S. They found that Pensacola, Florida had the worst tap water in the country.
Since 2004, the group analyzed water quality tests from 48,000 communities in 45 states. From those tests, the EWG rated 100 big city water utilities. Listed below are their findings.

According to the EWG, 316 different contaminants were found in the nation's tap water -- the group says more than half of those contaminants are not regulated by Environmental Protection Agency.
Despite their findings, the EWG still advocates tap water over bottled water. "Bottled water is not regulated in the same way as tap water," says Olga Naidenko, a senior scientist at EWG. "With bottled water, consumers often do not know what they are getting, and 25 to 40 percent of bottled water on the market is simply tap poured into a bottle."
The group says knowing what is in your water is key to taking measures to filter them out.
So glad I drink bottled water....I think...................I guess this and white sand is our claim to fame! LOL
