Just found out you are human too,
I must have mistaken you for perfect--not true.
I labeled you with words you could not be,
not your fault, just not humanly possible I now see.
Tears flow down my face,
alas the memories, before the lie I chase,
longing to remember what you meant to me before,
this is hard, our memories are few together, I want more.
Pain and hurt are the words scripted on my heart,
scribbled like a child, no real pattern sought.
Did you let me down, or did I let myself down,
by making you into a man that in this life was not around?
I put you high on a pedestal,
not realizing I would be the one to fall.
My emotions wash over me like ocean to sand,
visions are distorted, dreams are broken you are no longer the perfect man.
But you are not totally at fault for my feelings,
yes I admit your lie left my heart reeling,
but if I would not have given you so much power,
you would not have been my knight to rescue me from my tower.
We are both human, and mistakes we do make,
just a moment to think this through seriously I ask you to take.
Make a wise decision please,
not just one that puts me on my knees.
Begging you to please reconsider,
'cause for your affection I will not be a common bidder.
I should hold all the keys to your gates,
or do you now not believe in fate?
Don't make a rash choice on this point,
just to make a certain point,
that you have a free will option,
you know what I said about you being my priority,
and me being your option??
So now I lay at your feet,
a choice, a chance for our thoughts to meet.
For you to truly understand,
what it is like to bend a little,
and then to reap the rewards of being my man.
But force you to choose I will not do,
just please think, what if your feet where in my shoes
how would you feel?
would it still be no big deal??
Nothing is worse than telling me a lie,
but to forgive this of you I will try,
I just don't want to look like an idiot,
or this time I may not be able to give over it......
I care enough to write these words to you,
now please care enough to seriously think this through,
and on that note I will leave it to you to do what you want to do,
and I will make a choice now to respect whatever you choose to do...
