I have a friend and amazing friend , shes adopted me . this story today isn't about her its about a lady i met in the Nursing home last time All her the family is in another country and she gets lonely too sometimes , we met the last time my friend went to see a member of her family , and i asked to see her , this time we spoke , it was longer it felt more natural and i could see her smiling and we talked of German food , and germany ,we even spoke a lil german together . it was fun , she was kind and sweet and hardworking all her life shes what i call a good soul .
We chatted and chatted , and even forgot about the time and then when it was time to say our goodbyes, i knew i was going to miss her a little . as we were getting ready to say our good byes .
I thanked her for letting me visit once again .. she said please come back and visit me again .. i felt so touched i almost cried . I know what it is to be lonely. And when smiled up at me i knew i was in the right place . i knew i was making a difference ... and that i'd be a great pca person / or home care aide .
