yanno its one thingto be vigilant about fakes, and not let them take advantage of you. I think it goes a bit over the line when you have to actually take time out of your day to go hunting for fakes, out them as fakes, then brag on your profile that you outted a fake.
I'll be honest, I have next to no life, and even I dont take time out of my boring ass days to do such things. In fact I would rather be bored as hell!
I've heard numerous excuses as to why they do it, to that they care about their friends or they absolutely just hate fakes. So I figured I would address some of these excuses I see.
1. my friend got screwed over by a fake and I care too much about them to let it go.
my reply: then educate your friend on some things to look for in a fake and to be wise with their pocketbook. help your friend, dont give the fake attention.
2. the fakes get so much attention on here and they take away from the points i could be getting.
my reply: honestly with bling polishing, the numerous suckers for guys on this site, the right attitude, theres no reason you cant keep peace with anyone on this site. There is not a static set amount of points earnable, so work harder.
3. fakes don't have a salute so they are not real so they shouldnt get anything on this site.
my reply: those without a salute are just as entitled to get as far as they can without the salute as anyone with a salute. The fact is fubar has in place salute requirements to get into higher levels. so if they choose not to post one, its on them and how far they want to go on the site. Not everyone without a salute is an automatic fake, some get into car accidents and are a little embarrassed of their apperance as they heal. some used to look better prior to an illness. some prefer to keep their true identity private.
Everyone initially deserves the respect of a human being until they have given us a damn good reason not to be respected. Getting caught up in this outting fake profiles crap is not only a waste of time, its a waste of stress, a waste of thought, and a waste of fear.
so think before you open your traps about fakes or those without salutes, you may end up making yourself look worse.
