Kory D. Wiens 20 and his dog a labrador retriever named cooper trained to detect dynamite, c-4 explosives,detination cords,smokeless powder and mortars became the first military dog team killed in action in either Iraq or Afghanistan they were killed July 6th in Muhammad Sath by an explosive they were assigned to Fort Leonard Wood.
the remains of Wiens and Cooper were buried together in Wiens home town.

Le Ron Wilson, 18.
New York City
Wilson, 18, was killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad. on July 6th.
Born in Trnidad and Tobogo Le Ron A Wilson immigrated to New York when he was 11. even before then he was determined to be a soldier.
On the afternoon of his high school graduation last year, Wilson shipped out to Fort Stewart. His energetic attitude continued during his training, Where he Quickly earned two promotions
and was twice named soldier of the month.

Matthew R. Zindars, 21,
Watertown, Wis.
Zindars 21 of Watertown Wis. was killed July 24th during combat in Diyala province.
Zindars came home from his first tour in Iraq in October of 2006 and volunteered to go back for a second tour in March 2007.
Mathew said if they were going back he was going to go withthem," said his father, Kenneh. they think of each other as brothers."
He is also survived by his mother,Lynn.
