| Ok i need serious help on this one :( i am working on the river as my friends know since this is a friends only mumm you guys and gals are the only ones i will ask for advice on this. i have been with this company will be a year next month. i have three weeeks left in this trip before i am due off the boat. since being here i have seen several new hire's from job corps who finish their program and get topped out deckhand pay at 135 a day. after a year being here i make 125. never had a bad write up. every time i try to talk to someone about the reason i came out on the river again was to get in the steersman program so i can become a river pilot they tell me i need to worry about my job as a deckhand and wont even give me the time of day. so should i A go to another company due to the fact that its been a year and nothing has gotten resolved with this or B gut it out a few more months and talk to the owner of the company? |
