Jealousy is an ugly thing
it makes you accuse someone
for unseen things.
It makes someone green with envy
and that can be an ugly thing
when Jealousy makes you say hurtful things
Jealousy has hurt many friendships and relationships
all for what a person precieves or think they see.
Lets look at the meaning of jealousy:
Jealousy typically refers to the negative thoughts and feelings of insecurity, fear, and anxiety that occur when a person believes a valued relationship is being threatened by a rival. Jealousy often contains a mixture of emotions such as anger, sadness, and disgust. While jealousy and envy are similar, they differ in that jealousy is about something one has and is afraid of losing, while envy is about something one does not have and either wants to acquire or to prevent another from getting.
Jealousy is a passion, focusing his definition on the effects of jealousy, which “frequently get out of control” (Goldie, 2000, p. 229). It is a common observation that the experience of jealousy can last much longer than the one of a basic emotion like anger, without losing its original intensity, and, in a paradox captured in Rochefoucauld's maxim, it may outlast the attachment which it fears losing: "jealousy is always born with love; it does not always die with it."
The word stems from the French jalousie, formed from jaloux (jealous), and further from Low Latin zelosus (full of zeal), in turn from the Greek word ζήλος (zelos), sometimes "jealousy", but more often in a good sense "emulation, ardour, zeal" [9][10] (with a root connoting "to boil, ferment"; or "yeast").
Why would a person be insecure about something that doesnt belong to them? Why is there fear?? Is it the unknown??or the known??I mean who is rivals on an internet site????And whats up with envy????Can anyone truly own another person? Why do some people that that others can be owned? or that they can be told what they can do? who they can talk to? this just bothers me!!!!
