Happy 2009 everyone. May this be the year that all your dreams come true.
Well, I've been doing some thinking today trying to figure out what exactly it means to be the New Year. Is it just another day or is there some special meaning?
I'd like to think that the New Year does have special meaning. It signifies hope. However, at the same time it's just another day, ideally.
While it signifies hope I believe that it should be another day. If anyone reading this read my last entery, I believe in living for the "now". Living in the "now" would mean that there isn't a need to have a day that signifies hope as each moment has the capacity for hope. Living in the "now" means being aware of our choices from one moment to the next and knowing that we have the ability to start fresh with every moment that we have.
For some reason I'm feeling a little thick headed and I don't feel that I'm communicating that well. So, I'm going to keep this entery short, and will come back to it once I can clear my head just a bit. Until then, Happy New Year everyone.
