Epicurus was a Hellenistic Greek philosopher. He founded the Epicurean. He believed that death destroyed the soul and the gods did not punish humans, eliminating fear of death. According to Epicureanism, pain and pleasure measure good and evil - therefore, Hedonism was his preferred lifestyle.
