FOOTPRINTS
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of Footprints in the sand; One belonging to him, and the other to the lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the Footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of Footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. " Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of Footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me."
The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of Footprints, it was then that I carried you."

This is the most gorgeous thing I have ever heard. I have 1 framed poster of that in my room that hangs over my bed but in spanish. I have always known this since I was a little girl....I carry a small card that says that in my wallet. Now I know that I am not a religious person, nor have I been a firm believer in God this past year and a half. But he knows.....I am slowly coming around to him again. With some of the things that are going on in my life I find that I need him...Im tired of hurting yet I cant get away from it....I fear for my family...and that has got me so stressed and emotional right now that I feel that If I turn to him and let it all spill out, he will carry me right through this. Because he knows what Im feeling right now....
I just wanted to share this with you and let it do some healing for you. Hopefully someone who reads this blog will have never heard of it, and can in some way get something out of their hardtimes. Hes there with us always....we Just have to choose wether or not you want to feel him.
