I have an interesting situation and I'd like to know what y'all think is appropriate...

Earlier this month I planned a vacation to Utah just to be able to get away for the summer and I leave at the end of the month (YAY!). I received a call a day after I purchased my plane ticket that my Grandpa isn't doing so well, and he is in Utah about 20 minutes away where I am going to stay.

I know I should probably go and see him and be with the family alot, but I am not really close to that side of the family and I have never been close to my Grandpa.

So do I

A) Take my vacation as planned and see the family if something really bad happens

B) Forget about the vacation and spend the majority of my time with the family

I know that I can have a mix of both ... I am just wondering which y'all think should take more precedence.
