I just been busy with christmas and stuff. I went and visited all my grandparents, and other important family people. I had to go and get presents for people. ( as most people do I guess. ) I got mostly booze for people. People like booze. Or atleast most of my family does.
I saw people on my dad's side of the family I hadn't seen in forever. It's weird to see people you remember as kids when they are adults. I didn't talk to people much. I just said hi and bye basicly. " I'll see ya'll next year. " I haven't been around here for christmas in 5 or 6 years. I didn't really miss it. I always came home for the first part of December. I got a lot of time off the end of december, so I didn't want to waste my leave when I had a lot of time off anyway. More time away from work the better. Christmas is just another day, basicly. People just happen to choose that day to do stuff like go and see their family and give presents and stuff. I just went and saw whatever family people I wanted to see when ever I was home, and gave out whatever presents I had for people then. The specific day for that isn't really important. Christmas is basicly a creation of people to get others to try to get people to celibrate a christian holiday instead of solstice. It's all p.r. stuff. Now it's all commercialized anyway, but I don't see much difference now than it was before. It's all really p.r. stuff anyway.
Some people say stuff like " you should be nice because it's around christmas. " and stuff. But is seems like peoploe should be nice all the time. It seems like that's part of the people's beliefs that celebrate christmas for it being CHRISTmas. I uste to wonder why people who weren't christians even celebrated christmas. Why should they get presents anyway, if they don't even believe in it??? But Christmas has become more of a day for spending time with the family and bringing people together and stuff and of religious and belief based association anyway. That's basicly what the holidays are about now. A day to make sure family and friends get together and appreciate each other. ( It's a day set aside incase you don't spend time with your family any other day of the year. ) I spend lots of time with my family though other times too. Just not my dad's side. But I've never been close to my dad's side. We are kinda the outcasts of that family anyway. I just make sure to vistit my grandparents on that side whenever I can. I really don't even know the rest of them at all anymore.
Anyway, christmas... A time for famlily to get to gether and get drunk and say something that pisses each other off. Then a year later they finally forgive the other people and get together for christmas, and do it all over again. lol. Eventually they evolve past this. They either keep their mouth shut, learn to accept things, and or, not drink much during family get togethers. I think my family is mostly past all that. There's been things in the past that sometimes seem to linger, but it's mostly all ok. All of my family is pretty harsh. It's an open household where poeple are mostly comfortable with talking about anything, and saying about anything. Everyone gives everyone shit for the most part. It's a cold "cruel" world. But we know we all mean everything in the nicest possible way....
