The Mage’s Power

In the realms of fantasy
Your heart bespeaks to mine,
And whispers of sweet and wondrous things
That lifts my soul to thine.

Visions of mystic mysteries
Unveil my clouded eyes,
And the world I see –
Is the most magical place
Because your love is mine.

Our souls create the Mage’s Power
That takes us far away
And all because our hearts are one –
Love’s majesty is here to stay…
Within this wonderful fayish land –
We’ll walk forever, hand in hand.

My heart cries... “Don’t go!”
My soul mourns... “Too soon!”
My arms reach out... “Come back!”

Yet,
When I focus on you,
Truly, the essence of you...
I find a garden of hope -

In the flowers of your smiles-
Glimmering brightly.
In the well-spring of your caring-
Giving strength.
In the shade of your loving heart-tree-
Quietly comforting.
In the rays of your shimmering soul-
Eternally life-giving.

Then I know...
That which was you
Is there still...
Waiting for me
In the garden of you.

The Anatomy Piece

"Everything that glitters is not gold."
A famous poet uttered once in a poem he sold.
His words be solid if truth be told,
It is the knowledge of the ancient old,
Rubies, Diamonds, Gold and such
Are things we use as a crutch,
When the lives we have don't amount to much.

Life, I've heard is for the living,
It is the thing that happens
While we be dreamin'
The day to day...
The people along the way...
That ease our pain
And help us strive and gain.

So, yes, I say...
"All that glitters is not gold",
For glitter is false and will lead astray,
So, look for the glow of a friend's true mark...
It doesn't lead to riches of the material sort,
But enriches that most important part,
The anatomy piece know as the human heart.

There's an angel in my pocket
She goes here
And there with me
She keeps me safe
And watches over me.

Advice she gives but sparingly
Yet, always, it is just right
She guides me through
Trying and troubled times
And sees that I'm all right.

A hand of comfort always
Is not very far away
When pain
And anguish fills me
Her LOVE does not stray.

Her wings she wraps around me
To protect me from all harm
Her veery gift of caring
Helps me
Face the raging storms

I have an angel in my pocket
Who gives me such strenth today
She wraps her wings about me
And helps me face
My trials what may

This angel in my pocket
Who goes here and there with me
Lifts my spirit high
And my soul
She has set free.

My Country 2

I had a beautiful poem
About my country…
But the computer glitched
And I threw a fit…
For my beautiful poem
That talked of the freedom to roam
Went down the tubes…
Like flushing the lue…
And all my thoughts,
Patriotic and such
Were totally lost
And now I’m most cross…
For it really did say
What I thought today.
Now it is lost
Boo Hoo the cost
I’m morning this fact
With out any Jack
That my thoughts so profound
Did not find fertile ground…
But still I can say
God Bless the U.S.A.

God’s Awesome Avatars

I saw the angels…
Well, better yet,
I experienced the wonder
When by chance I met
God’s awesome Avatars.
They wrapped their wings about me
In such beautiful blinding light
And through their starlit beauty
I gained a mote of something
That woke up my inner light.

I know that they are with us
Each and every day
They simply guide and protect us
And ease our troubled ways.
I saw God’s Awesome Avatars
When I went for a walk today,
I know that they are with me
As I journey on my way.
