Time flows quickly over
the stream of our consciousness.
Never pausing to allow us a
minute to catch our breath.
We courageously endure, going forth,
bravely facing what time
throws in our way, our
lances of protection before our soul.
Sometimes we seek others to help us
in our struggle to contend with time.
Yet some are detached, distant, wanting
only to force time to stand still.
Regardless of who with or without
time continues its demonstration
Not caring, just passing, adrift,
continuous, taking us all for the ride.
