When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I admit I laughed a little.
Old man Clint Eastwood looking like he's trying to be "Dirty Harry" again...
All "raspy-voiced" and "making gun gestures with his hand", I was like "okay Mr Eastwood, retire already...".
And then, I started to hear from some of my favorite movie friends I should watch the film.
From the way they described it, I still wasn't interested in seeing a movie about an over-the-hill Clint Eastwood making racist remarks and acting "grumpy".
Yet, everytime I talked to anyone who saw it, they told me I NEED to see it, for this reason or that...
So, I was bored this morning and my dude had lent me a copy of the movie...
...and I'm glad he did.
The movie was NOT what I expected, I found myself at one point hoping it never ended.
For some reason, I was caught up in the characters' lives, whether it was good writing or good acting, I don't know...
...but I was HOOKED.
Now I'M one of "those" people saying "you should see Gran Torino"....
