(I am re-organizing my blogs for those who wonder about the reposts)
I know this site is confusing at first...so I wrote this little guide out...it was a dashed off reply to an email, but hopefully it has some helpful information in it.
First off, it's generally considered rude to rate below a 10...so most would rather u just not rate at all. The points given are the same regardless of whether you rate a 1 or a 10..Most likely if you "downrate" people, they will not rate you at all, thus giving you no points, and they will block you, and then post a bulletin labeling you a downrater, and then more people will block you. So be nice to others unless you like being hated on...lol.
A lot of people ask you to "become a fan" and rate their profile to become a friend...it gives you and them points, so it's more of a courtesy thing than anything.
You give AND recieve points on Fubar by rating people's pics, stash, blogs, profile, becoming a fan, adding people, posting comments to photos/blogs/stash/profiles, etc.
The more points you have the closer you get to the next level...you'll see a bar on your page, that shows how many points you need to the next level. You get more photo storage and other things as u level up. Details in Fu-bible.
Rating people's pics:
...if u rate someone who clearly has a lot of friends...you may want to mention , hey I rated 20 or 50 of your pics, if you can rate me back....BUT don't count on it, not everyone will return the rates, and not everyone has the time to do so, but ultimately hopefully one way or another it will come back to you.
I ask that people who want me to rate them back let me know that they rated, and how much...
I usually only rate during Happy HOurs, because u get double points.
Read the Fu-Bible for some basic points, but realize that it is unfortunately not at all complete....
You don't get points for rates on ripped photos...ask if you can copy, or find it on the internet yourself. Don't rip personal photos of people or anything without asking, will get people pissed off at you really quickly...
There are all sorts of contests on Fubar for things such as Fubucks, VIP memberships, blasts, and Happy Hours....You'll need a lot of friends and support to win these contests....OR, my personal rule is never enter anything that has a time limit, or only one winner and several contestants. I don't like to waste my time and others time and not get what I am going after....
Comment Bombing is leaving a bunch of comments on a photo for points for the contest host...I have a blog somewhere on the topic.
Upload stuff to your Stash for quick and easy points...find stuff on youtube or google jokes, cats, funny pics, whatever...find stuff with an embed code and upload it.
You get points for what u upload (photos, stash, blogs, etc.) and when others rate it....you get points for rating other people's stuff as well.
There are however no points for nsfw pics. Please be careful not to upload nsfw content without flagging it....someone will flag your stuff and Fubar will delete your account for uploading too much nsfw stuff and intentionally not flagging it as nsfw.
COMMENT BOMBING EXPLAINED:
I forget that not everyone has been on this site for a year or two sometimes....
So, I've been asked about comment bombing....
Basically when you leave someone a comment, you and the person you commented, get points.
So people host contests to giveaway stuff like Fubucks, Blasts, Happy Hours, and VIP's.
Some contests are just based on rating a pic, but most are comment bombing.
Basically that means, the contest entrant will need several thousand comments left by their friends (and usually themselves as well) on one photo entered in the contest, and that photo will be in the Contest Host's Photos, so that way the host gets tons of points and profile views, etc.
So to comment bomb, you go to the photo and just leave tons of comments, they don't have to be meaningful, can just be random stuff typed on the keyboard or whatever.....

I know it's confusing on here at first. I am still learning new stuff here after over a year!! lol
