I fully believe the public, not the social services department in Kentucky, is going to have to demand our children are protected. There were too many people that knew about this child's life that did not do enough to save her life. I do not want to see the tears of the parents, I do not want to see the tears of the neighbors, I do not want to see the tears of the grandmother who lived next door. I don't want to hear excuses from Social Services. I want to see action from our citizens. Our taxes are supposed to fund protection for our children.

I have seen incidents of social services step in when there is not a need and no abuse involved but they allow sick people like this to continue to be parents. The grandmother did nothing but stand by and allow it to continue. It's a little too late to step up now and act concerned. These people need to suffer and feel the pain that this child had to go through. I think this poor kid had a bunch of worthless family members that cared about no one but themselves.

I think that these people have committed an unjustifable crime and they need to face up and tell the truth about what they done to this little girl. I believe that Social services weren't doing their job protecting the children of Winchester at least they weren't protecting this one and look what happened to her. As working citizens we pay state taxes to insure the safety and well being of these children as well as for other things and it doesn't appear that our money was put to the right use. I agree with Eleschia from London I don't want to see the tears from anyone who knew this child was being abused. All of these people who come forward and say they knew what was going on they are guilty for sitting on the sidelines and doing nothing about what they saw and now it doesn't matter what you say, you could have SAVED her life! Patrick and Joy watkins need to be locked away for life. They are murderers and murderers don't belong on the street. Throw away the key (edited) Them!
