A soldier's cry in the night
All he wants to do is win the fight
Standing up for his fellow men
Defending every single American
His wife cries herself to sleep
Unable to believe
That her love is far away
Waiting to hug him on that special day
His children sleep the night through
Waiting for daddy to return, too
A single tear leaves his eye
Just trying to get by
