Behind blue eyes is everything,
the silence kills and the mind screams.
But to let it out would cause only pain,
so we write it all down to try & explain
Fold it up and throw it away,
Time moves slow through another day.
Dreams don’t come anymore for fear they will stay,
Light breaks through and the shades push it away.
Gather it up and take it away,
Push it all back where it can hide in wait.
For a time when everything feels calm and safe,
Then all comes crashing down in a single space.
Empty your head of the dreams that fall silent,
when you don’t close your eyes they can’t become violent.
Kept inside is where it all lies,
