Singing to myself
when nobody's watching me
memories i dare only tell myself
but is out there for you to see
she came on a night so shy
took my heart outright
never knew it'd go this high
but then it began to shine so bright
came back the days i thought had escaped me
forgotten by the heart but i let it see
seemed like everything we wanted is here
and the waves they left nothing more to tear
sometimes things just seem so easy
at times reasons don't matter so crazy
still singing to myself with nobody around
but it's getting much too late
forgot that the storm was rising
could have said that i never needed you
well i jumped into the river too many times
hoping to make it home
