There I was, after mid of night
Standing barefoot on the street corner
Swigging on a chilled Mountain Dew
When something unexplainable happened
The night winds became beastly
And started howling
Like a mountain wolf
Blowing me away, to a fairyland
Seated so very high
Above the now fading moon
Gazing swiftly through the corners
Of my dark brown lookers
Twin-terrific fairies I saw
One eastward, one westward
Astonished, I blinked anew
And gazed once more
"Wow", I murmured to thyself
"Now I behold only one fairy
Flying my way"
She stopped lookers to lookers
And gave me a look-see
Her lookers were the color
Of pure honesty
And her voice echoed with kindness
When she spoke my name
Which caused my heart to vibrate
With great wonderment
Because my name
I had not told her
Then with a teensy-weensy kiss
On my dark brown lookers
I blinked anew once more
And back I was
Standing barefoot on
The street corner
With an empty bottle of Mountain Dew
Wondering if this was for real
Or just a fairy fantasy
